Phantom FuryPhantom Fury originated in Albuquerque, New Mexico on the 15th day of January 1995. Three members of the former band Endeavor felt compelled to go into a new direction. Their new music was based on odd time signatures, polyrhythms, and lyrics that stimulate a visual concept. Phantom Fury as a trio creates music loaded with powerful and unique sounds.

The trio consists of: Percussionist D.J. Manweller, who studied Percussion Performance at the University of New Mexico. After 3 ½ years of study he injured his wrist and was unfortunately forced into an early drop out. Bassist / Vocalist Chuck Goodman, who began his musical career playing the saxophone, the tuba, and then later the bass guitar, claims the bass was his only relationship in years. Guitarist / Lead Vocalist Zac L. Mitchell, who studied four years of violin and then guitar, was booted out of the music program in High School. This questionable bunch of musical rejects got together to form PHANTOM FURY!!!

In the late Nineties, Phantom Fury was a member of the New Mexico Rock Coalition. The NMRC was an organization for local original bands to work together in support of each other to further the local music scene. Phantom Fury released it's debut single, "A Way Out", on the compilation CD, "NMRC's Sampler Vol. One". The song was recorded at Sound Chaser Studios by Mark Jeangerard. The CD was mastered at Santa Fe Center Studios, engineered by Doug Geist and the late great Eric Larson! In 2001 Phantom Fury produced a live digital recording which was also mastered at Santa Fe Center Studios by Eric Larson. This was their only complete CD venture called, "A New Dimension". Then in 2002, the members of Phantom Fury reluctantly decided it was time to go into still another new direction for the final time.
